Do you ever wish savasana (the resting bit at the end of a yoga class) lasted a little bit longer?  Join the club...the Nap & Chat Club!

Please join me for monthly (ish) extended restorative yoga and yoga nidra classes.  You can expect 90 minutes of restful yoga and relaxation followed by a grounding hot drink and the opportunity to chat with others or just settle quietly back into your body before continuing with your weekend.

ABOUT NAP & CHAT CLUB

These extended practices are focussed entirely on finding a state of deep rest.  They invite you to rest and recharge, and to carve out time for yourself in the company of a community of others who also prioritise rest.

In each class I will share a nourishing restorative yoga practice, followed by a seasonal yoga nidra. 

 

Restorative yoga is a practice of release and surrender.  It is a mostly floor based practice, where we hold yoga poses for 5-10 minutes at a time using props including bolsters, blankets and cushions.  The intention is to find a sense of softening and relaxing, to slow down, and allow yourself to release into the support of the props.  The use of props means that this practice really can be modified to your own individual needs, and as long as you are comfortable getting down onto the mat can be a really wonderfully accessible practice.

Focussing on your breath and soothing your nervous system you will eventually melt into the sleep of yoga that is a yoga nidra meditation.  Yoga nidra is a form of meditation which is usually practiced lying down.  You are invited to follow a series of steps in order to access a state of consciousness somewhere between being asleep and awake.  I share non-dogmatic, creative yoga nidra practices using storytelling and breath awareness to navigate this journey.

 

Nap & Chat Club will take place monthly on Saturday afternoons at Jenna Blair Yoga in Belle Vue.  Once the practice is over you are warmly invited to linger and join me for a grounding herbal tea as you slowly come back into the space: rested, rejuvenated and ready to return to your busy life. 

 

Spaces are limited to ensure everyone is able to stretch out and fully, fully relax.  Tickets are £15 or £20 according to your means.
